Anesthesia: Of course there are risks with anesthesia. That will be explained to you in detail by your anesthesiologist and surgeon before surgery. Discuss your concerns with your doctor who can be more specific with his or her response with regards to your child.

Anesthesia: There is always a risk from anesthesia regardless of age of patient or which type is used. This doesn't mean that the risk is particularly high for any one specific case. Please discuss this with the anesthesiologist who will be working with the baby. S/he will know more about the child's health and the type of anesthesia proposed. Take care.
