A bit of a distance: between the shoulder and the spine. The usual cause of "temporary spine curvature" or "change in normal lordosis" is a muscle spasm--typically of the neck. Certainly injuries and/or pain can cause spasm. Temporary spine curvature changes are common and are NOT due to the bones or disk being broken.
