You can't miss it: A fractured jaw is incompatible with normal eating and must be treated...an X RAY is absolutely necessary if you suspect this problem.....Hard to miss!!!!!

Jaw fracture: It depends upon the nature of the break. If it is displaced or non displaced. If the healing fracture line causes callus formation or not. There are many variables and it is not a cut and dry answer. I hope this leads you in the right direction.
