Peripheral edema: The question is did your GP try to find out why you have edema like do you have Cardiac or Renal or liver or thyroid disease or PVD. Once the etiology is identified, appropriate treatment could be given

Diagnosis?: Water pills could be a treatment for swelling, but I'm concerned that you have no diagnosis that would justify their use. Treating patients isn't just about the "what", but also about the "why". We need to know why your feet and legs are swelling. Visit your doctor for investigations.
