Shoulder trauma: If you have not already had an MRI of your shoulder, you need one now. After trauma, you can injure the articular surface of the cartilage or bone, which can continue to worsen over the years, and become symptomatic later in life. A good physical exam and shoulder x-ray to start, may help differentiate between chronic rotator cuff tear, labral tear, or posttraumatic arthritis.
