My doctor wants 2 avoid mri as much as possible because i am pregnant how would we know if my central hypothyroidsm was caused by a tumor?

Have ultrasound: Hypothyroidism is loss of function of thyroid gland in producing thyroxin. Tumors do not tend to inhibit thyroid gland activity. If one doesn't palpate a lesion in the thyroid gland and one in interested in imaging the gland, Ultrasound gives an effective image. Should one feel a swollen gland a goiter should be considered and will show up with multiple nodules.
