Here are some ...: Ultrasound exam on kidneys & bladder through body surface is usually done via body surface so it is very noninvasive and uneventful. Hence, there is no reason to link soreness with its use, except, occasionallly after transvaginal approach to visualize female pelvic organs. So, visit your Doc so to look into other possible concomitant reasons for soreness.

Ultrasound: The ultrasound itself doesn't cause pain,but perhaps the soreness is from the technician pressing too forcefully while performing the test.

You should: not be sore after a kidney or bladder ultrasound. If you already had kidney or bladder discomfort this could have been irritated by the technician pressing the ultrasound probe on you.
