A member asked:

Hi. does sebacceous hyperplasia always need to be biopsied for diagnosis or can dermascope be enough? i recently had one cauterised but now worried.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: Usually diagnosed by simple inspection without need for instrument or biopsy. Sometimes unusual features indicate the value of a biopsy.
