Maybe: There have been reports of peripheral neuropathy due to use of Macrobid (nitrofurantoin) but most of these reports associated withe the chronic use of nitrofurantoin to prevent recurrent urinary tract infection. If you experience problems with any medication you should bring it to the attention of iour physician. Folic acid may help with the symptoms.

Possibly: There have been studies of individuals that develop carpal tunnel on Macrobid. Perhaps switching to a different antibiotic will help.
