A member asked:

How often should blood work be redone to check for ra or lupus?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends: Blood work may be done for initial diagnosis and those tests do not need to repeated once the diagnosis is established. There are different tests to measure the disease activity and those may be done to assess the effectiveness of treatment and the frequency varies with the disease activity and responsiveness to treatment.
