Need to be seen: You probably have a thrombosed hemorrhoid. You need to see a physician to determine whether that is the case and many times you can be treated so that you do not have recurrent bleeding. Constipation does make the problem worse

Hemorrhoids..: Yes, when you have inflamed hemorrhoids you may feel a lump which may be hard or soft depending if it is clotted or not. If hard and painful it is probably a good idea to get seen by your doctor. You may also try sitz baths with Epsilon salts and Preparation H over the counter. It is also advisable to eat fruits and veggies, and drink water to avoid constipation which can make them worse.
