I have always had hemorroids on and off. after a brief stint of a bad case of them, i am no longer bleeding but feel a lump when i wipe. normal?

Need to be seen: You probably have a thrombosed hemorrhoid. You need to see a physician to determine whether that is the case and many times you can be treated so that you do not have recurrent bleeding. Constipation does make the problem worse
