Doubtful: Headache and neck pain are symptoms of meningitis but usually there is associated fever and pronounced sense of illness. 6 days is a long time for a headache and perhaps muscle contraction due to stress and anxiety is the type of headache you're having.Mild viral meningitis is unlikely. I recommend having an examination by your physician for diagnosis and treatment as it'll set your mind at ease.

Comments:: Why are you concerned about meningitis? Have you had contact with a person with meningitis? Your headache could be due to multiple other causes, such as migraine, problems due to neck, jaw, dentition, sinuses. Did you contact your regular physician yet? At least, reassure yourself
