A member asked:

How long would a high platelet count remain post sepsis? i had a tia a week ago (sepsis 3 weeks ago), and i'm concerned about having another, or worse

Oh my....: If your platelet count is clearly related to the septic condition and not any bone marrow abnormality of function (blood dyscrasia) then, my best guess is that once your body systems get back into the normal swing of things (mainly your liver and spleen) then, you should expect to see a reduction in the numbers in about 10-14 days afterward. Quite a lot of STUFF to go through. Glad you made it.
