6-10: The idea of reps is to work the specific muscle group to exhaustion and then rest it until your strength has returned. If you have a lot of endurance go as long as you can without causing pain, it will take a bit of trial and error. I suggested 6-10 reps per set to avoid pain and muscle injury. The number of sets is the number it takes to avoid painful muscle injury, try it out !

7-8-9 reps 3 sets : If you want to gain muscles,Use heavy weight and do only 7reps for 3 sets,the weight must be heavy,don't forget to stretch before working out to avoid strains,also eat proteins after exercising to help muscle for recovery and repairing.
