My daughter,14,has scoliosis, 53 deg. no period yet. rehab doctor says brace has a chance. orthopedic surgeons (3) say surgery. any idea?

Your choice: Surgery will be the treatment to correct severe scoliosis, however if after surgery patient may need braces or if surgery is not done braces may offer some help with symptoms

Too far: 53' scoliosis is definitely within criteria for requiring surgical correction - highly unlikely that a brace is going to confer any benefit.
