No need : Unless there is a problem there is not a need to see a gynecologist at age 8. First pap is due at 21. Your pediatrician can address most issues at this age.

NOT REALLY...: She started period early. Usual age 9.5-11.5 yr. If mother starts at earlier age, daughter can start early. Use your own experience advising, supporting and making her comfortable. Remember, 1st. 2 years, periods are irregular, scanty and may skip on and off, because she may not be ovulating every month. If abnormal bleeding, pain, might need gyn. Consult. Consider starting hpv immunization.
