Probably not a UTI: if repeated course of antibiotics have not relieved the symptoms then it may not be a UTI or there may be a reason why the infection is hard to treat. You should consult with a Urogynecologist or female urologist. I hope this helps.

I have UTI. Doc prescribed Cefdinir. Its 300 mg once a day for five days. I am 4 foot 3 inches and 60 pounds. Should that be enough to help? I get GI issues with many antibiotics so assume its based on my weight and all. Thank you?

I'm on a five day course of macrobid for uti. Culture came back as greater than 100,000 cfu/no Escherichia coli. Is that significant? How soon after I finish the antibiotics should I repeat urinalysis? Feeling some better since being on antibiotics?
