Several causes: There are a multitude of causes of pregnancy "spotting" early and late. The list includes the following: Threatened abortion(miscarriage), Implantation difficulty, Placenta located over cervical opening (previa), Intrauterine or vaginal infection, cervical tears or polyp, early labor contractions(bloody show), premature placental separation (abruption), and many more.
