It varies: Most of normal pregnancy should not have any bleeding during early pregnancy. However, it is common to have spotting or bleeding during first few weeks of pregnancy. It appears that 10-15% women during their early pregnancy has some bleeding. Some even have heavey bleeding. Be sure to check with doctor. I do see several patients with heavey bleeding still have viable pregnancy.
