What can cause tingling on left hand and left leg when i wake up?

Tingling: Could be circulatory issue or pinched nerves. I would want to know if there are other times or other positions that cause numbness and tingling, and if this is the entire limb or just a part - ie just your thumb and outside of your leg or the entire side.
