A member asked:

Why would massaging shoulder give pain in the fingers?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Nerve irritation: A nerve entrapment can take place at the shoulder girdle or there is a structure there that is impinged or inflammed that will cause referred pain to the fingers to which the nerve travels to. The massage might be aggravating the underlying problem that is not otherwise noticeable.
