Flushing and Itching: Niacin is a vitamin that in some cases reduces Triglycerides and increase HDL, but at a cost: many of my patients flushed and itched and stopped taking the drug. Several years ago, there were numerous articles at the major cardiology meetings demonstrating that niacin did not really impact reducing heart attacks and improving patients' live. Look up the information before you buy.
