Olive oil: It is well known fact that olive oil has beneficial effect on both ldl.And hdl.Bot why would you like to drink olive oil in a glass of orange juice. You should use olive oil for cooking and enjoy the taste of coocked food and derive the health benefits.Olive oil brings the LDL (bad cholesterol) down and raises the( good cholesterol)hdl .But if you want to drink the cocktail thats ok.

Doubt it: A teaspoon of olive oil without orange juice is unlikely to alter your HDL. The best way to increase HDL through regular aerobic exercise of at least 150 minutes/week. Avoid saturated fats. Have a healthy diet, exercise, drink plenty of water, have safe sex, no tobacco alcohol weed or street drugs. Nutrition: http://www.choosemyplate.gov/.

Exercise: People who exercise have higher HDL. There are other factors. A new med was tried recently. It raised HDL dramatically but failed to reduce cardiovascular events. There went $2 billion. Now we realize that HDL is several different molecules and that it is not as important as once theorized.
