Not at all: you should not have any pain from the tooth itself after a successful filling. Pain from hot, cold, sweet, ouch or pressure should not continue after the filling. Spontaneous pain should not happen neither. It could indicate some unexpected side effect especially if the dental caries were too close to the nerve. You should ask your dentist, you may need additional treatment or adjustments.
