WNL: Pain after a deep restoration is within normal limits.. Only your dentist knows how deep the restoration was. A phone call should answer this question.

Maybe: Any irritation to a tooth, and getting a filling is irritating, can cause some hopefully reversable inflamation. If it gets bad and/or lasts more than a week, see your dentist. It could require something as simple as a lessening of the hight of the filling, or at worst, the tooth may be dieing and need a root canal job.
