Should i choose to take antidepressants for 6 months for moderate depression or three months is enough (with a lot of improvement )?

If there is a: true major depressive disorder (not an adjustment D/O) I usually recommend one year of treatment after the person has a strong medication response. Some Dr's prescribe for 6 to 9 months for a single episode of major depression. 3 months is a risk for major depression.
