NO: Squatting is a great exercise for strengthening your leg muscles but... It takes a long time to build up muscle tone and shed fat. Please be patient and continue working and eating properly, but it will take more time.

Spot reduction: of specific body areas won't work. Squats are a great exercise, and as part of a balanced exercise program combined with a healthy diet, will help lose body fat and increase muscle tone. You might see some improvement in 30 days, but the best results will come with more time and preserverance. Best of luck.

Helps: Exercise is a good tool, but getting rid of flab usually needs a combination of exercise, both aerobic and resistance and high interval training, and diet. For most people it is a low glycemic diet and especially eliminating simple carbohydrates like sugars, sodas etc.

Spot fat loss does: not occur naturally. By losing weight in general some may be thigh fat. But, we don't get to choose what area of body fat is lost from. Eat healthy & be physically active. Calories burned must > those consumed. Tone Thighs w plie, squat, wall squat, ball squat, Plyometric Squat, stair steps, lunges, lunges w dumbbells, ball squeeze & single leg Circle.
