Prior physician?: Who found this growth and when? It is important to see someone, even if it is benign in nature and just for reassurance. I would contact the physician who first discovered the growth and ask for further recommendations and/or surgeon referral especially since you are now experiencing symptoms in that general area. For the last 8-9 months, I have had increasing left side pain, under my rib cage. PCP sent me to a GI, nothing found but a slight enlarged spleen. Last 3 days, pain has become unbearable, sharp and non-stop.
Pain in the spleen area, already have had tests run for pancreatitis and lower and upper endoscopy. Ct's from a couple months ago were nomral. I am experiencing stabbing pain in my left side, just under my rib cage which radiates straight down my abdome
Dr says I have slight enlarged spleen but didn't do any tests is this usual i went to see him as I have left side rib pain.
