Taking nitrofurantoin. 5 doses in, left finger feels very cold, right finger painful to touch. coldness subsided, but pain still going 12 hours later.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Neurologic signs: Nitrofurantoin can cause something called neuropathy, which means that nerves can be more sensitive and be painful, feel tingly or cold. If your symptoms are worsening you should talk to your doctor about changing medications.
