I hope so: The A1c is an average of the preceding 3 months. As described, your am fasting bg readings are good, so assuming your numbers are good throughout the day, the A1c should ok. Eat well, stay well, be well. Best wishes.

51F. I started taking a statin (10mg lipitor) a month ago and it's increased my blood sugar significantly. My a1c has been in the prediabetes range so I occasionally check it. Is it possible that a different statin would not have this effect?
