Severe inner ear pain but ent says its not from ears. what could it be?

Reffered pain: If the pain isn't from the ear it is possibly a structure that is nearby the ear. This is called referred pain. For instance, TMJ can feel like the pain is from the ear because the sensory nerves are close to the same region. Also dental painfrom the molars also can refer pain to the ear. The brain is amazing but not perfect. Since the ears checked out ok I would recommend seeing dentist or PCP
