It can happen:(: Even though this headache lasted a lot longer than your usual ones, it is not uncommon for migraine sufferers to occasionally have a a headache and other symptoms far different from their usual pattern. The negative MRI is additionally reassuring. Hopefully your usual medications were helpful in getting through this. The good news: unlikely to recur or if does, infrequently. Work with neurologist.

3 wk HA: If this headache is different or more sever than your usual headache or if you are have pain down your back when you forward flex your head or if you are running fevers with your current symptoms---you should go to the Er for full evaluation---if this is your typical Migraine type headache--I would need to know what treatments you are currently using --before ; I could advise you on treatment
