Not from medication: A swollen tender lymph gland is highly unlikely to be from taking a new medication. Lymph glands are situated around the body and serve to trap infectious organisms(bacteria or viruses) to prevent their spread to other areas in the body. A swollen gland will often decrease in size if there is no ongoing infection. Any swollen glands persisting after a month should by examined by a physician.
