Nodes of that location sift through and remove debris/germs from serum coming from the nearby gums/throat/skin. It is the wrong location for cancer suspicion. They swell and subside over weeks at a time when working. They are often noted in the head and neck where they are not buried in fat or muscle.

It is probably nothing. You may feel the nodes every couple of weeks, if any of the lymph glands doubles in size, becomes painful, ulcerates, or other nodes become enlarged, or you develop fever, or lose weight, you should see a doctor. Wish you good health!
