Neck mass: Asymptomatic disease in the head and neck is quite common. So as to this mass being "normal", the answer is "maybe'. Lumps in the neck or under jaw may be inflammation from a local infection, often a throat infection, local dental disease or a wisdom tooth at your age. And yes, all can be "asymptomatic" or relatively so. If it is more than a week, see your doctor
