Not recommended: There is a concern about serotonin syndrome in having these medications at the same time or even very close together.WHile we realize that this is a small risk, even taking the Nucynta (tapentadol) and cymbalta in such proximity increases the risk.Therefore, you should consult with your doctor regarding next steps but not dose these meds in the same week. Their chemistry, side effects and benefits overlap alot
