Appendicitis: A blockage in the lining of the appendix that causes infection is the likely source of appendicitis. The bacteria multiply rapidly, causing the appendix to become inflamed, swollen and filled with pus. If not treated promptly, the appendix can rupture. Almost all patients have severe pain, fever, nausea and vomiting. You cannot prevent this with diet. Do not overworry this issue.
