Weight gain plan: Add calorie dense foods such as nuts, whole grain pastas, raisins, whole milk, pure fruit juices, butter, avocado, and complex carbohydrates as a healthy way to add more calories. Increase lean protein to build muscle with your exercise plan. Avoid sugars sodas, and chips. Although they are indeed high calorie, they do not provide appropriate nutrition and are difficult for your body to process

More calories: Try adding a nutritional supplement like Ensure a couple of times daily between meals. Increase the amount of protein consumed daily to 80-100 grams. Resistance exercises like weight training, yoga or isometrics can build muscle. Thanks for trusting HealthTap!

Eat more.: While keeping it healthy, i.e. lean protein sources and fiber and complex carbohydrates, eating more calories per day will help you gain weight. Performing regular cardiovascular exercise and weight training will assure that the weight you gain is lean muscle mass more than simply fat mass.
