Facial Type2 HSV: There are 2 common strains of Herpes, Type 1 & 2. Traditionally, type 1 was almost exclusively orally transmitted innocently & known as cold sores; type 2 was transmitted thru sex. Nowadays, with oral sex being more prevalent, the HSV type is less relevant (type doesn't accurately tell you the location of infection) , as the strains behave the same way. Cleanliness & using suppressive antivirals.
