My husband has been told he has genital herpes, i have history of hsv 1 on face & lips as well as boils on my groin.is there a connection between them?

You must be tested: for HSV1 and HSV2. If your husband was recently diagnosed with genital herpes, this did not occur coincidentally.If you test positive for HSV2 I suggest a full DTD workup.
