Doctor: The child needs to see a doctor tonight. The child has some type of infection, be it viral or bacterial. I assume you mean you are giving something for the temp. The illness to be clearly defined and the reason for the heart beat that is abnormal needs to be defined. Take the child to ER or the closest thing you have to one. Best wishes.

Fever and lethargy: That high a fever in a child is very worrisome. The skipping heart beats are probably related to the fever. While the fact that his fever goes down with medication - he should be evaluated. Make sure he is hydrated - plenty of fluids - pedialyte or gatorade (sports drinks without caffeine) or gelatin desserts or water/ice. A fever that high causes fluid loss.
