Side effects: Plaquenil (hydroxychloroquine) has frequently been reported as causing Dizziness and Headaches, however Cardiac side effects are rare. Contact your Physician about your symptoms - you may have to decrease your medication dose and slowly taper it up, or discontinue it altogether. If you are having chest pain or shortness of breath, Emergency Room evaluation is indicated immediately.
