See gastro: I assume that you have already seen a gastroenterologist since you know that you have LES laxity. I am not sure that there is a cure for this short of surgery but your GI doctor could better advise you. To treat GERD we advise people to take PPI meds, avoid large meals, maintain normal weight and not eat any foods that trigger the symptoms. Raising the head of the bed about 3 inches can help.
