MRI: A MRI will define the problem better. Physical therapy will help.

We need a diagnosis: and in that regard an MRI is considered the best soft tissue imaging modality.That said there are at least a dozen causes of back pain,some of which are not related to the spine.Thus a thorough exam from a Spine Specialist is in order and if the MRI is negative, an evaluation by your PCP to determine consideration of further Ob GYn vs. GI workup would be in order. Physical therapy should also help
