A member asked:

Had cervical fusion(c4 & c5) 16 years ago. current x-ray shows one screw has backed out almost completely and tilting down. no symptoms yet. danger?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Probably not, if its: not causing any symptoms. Certainly talk it over with a spine Surgeon who will be able to Foresee if there are going to be any problems in the foreseeable future. He might decide to take it out, as the Hardware (plate/screws ) are now not doing much. They might need to be removed. Best advise: Talk it over with spine surgeon who can examine you as well.
