Don't recommend: self -starting antibiotics without first obtaining guidance from the oral surgeon or dentist. Take care.

Broken Molar: while I am not a dentist and I am sue my Dentist colleagues will correct me if I am wrong, I see no reason to start antibiotics for a broken tooth without consulting your Dentist than I do starting antibiotics for a broken fingernail. You definitely should get some temporary filling material at the pharmacy and place it over the break. Believe it or not their are actual dentist on call.

Yes but: Often an antibiotic will only treat the symptoms and not the source. Also, is this the correct antibiotic for your symptoms. I would try and get as much info as possible before taking the meds.
