A member asked:

This is my fourth month trying to conceive. i had a serum hcg of <2 at 7 dpo. am i out of luck this month, or could i still be pregnant?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Pregnant?: A serum HCG at 7 days post ovulation is very low, and is not indicative of failure to be pregnant since the egg, even if fertilized has just implanted, and only later in the cycle does HCG become elevated. Try a serum HCG again when your period is delayed by a day or two, and if pregnant, it will quickly be in the 100's or even 1000's.
