A member asked:

I'm 23...how can i help my eczema? does diet affect it? i use creams now. also, cetaphil has this new eczema soap and lotion...does it work well?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Eczema management: Atopic dermatitis is a skin condition characterized by dry, wrinkled, itchy and occasionally red skin. Symptoms can be reduced with hypoallergenic cleansers and moisturizers such as Cetaphil, CeraVue, etc., and fragrance/dye free detergents. Moisturizers in ointment form penetrate deeper. Topical steroids are also helpful. Avoid eating foods that you are allergic to and stay well hydrated.
