MAC: What we read on echo as mitral annulus calcification can sometimes not be real. In a young person, the chances of that echo reading being due to another cause than calcification are good. You should not be worried but you should take care to eat properly, get regular exercise and take care of any cardiac risk factors which you may have. You can check with your Dr. about the reading.
