Mild mitral annular calcification. please help as i have been worried sick for my mom after an echo last year showed this finding. she is 68 years old w/a hx of htn for which she was placed on amlodipine last year. i cannot sleep at night from worry?

These are not unusual findings in the older population. When they are mild, they don't interfere with the function of the valve. It is not productive to worry about something that you cannot change & have little impact on someone's function. Please clarify this with her doc.
